The Regular Meeting of the Hopkins County Fiscal Court was held at Hopkins County Government Center and was called to order by Hopkins County Judge Executive, Donald E. Carroll. Invocation was given by Leon Smith. Roll call was taken and a quorum was established with all Magistrates being present.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:  April 3, 2012 minutes - Motion by Magistrate Welch and seconded by Magistrate Beshears to approve the April 3, 2012 minutes.  Motion carried.  

 

April 9, 2012 Minutes – Motion by Magistrate Groves and seconded by Magistrate Maurice Wilson to approve the April 9, 2012 minutes.  Motion carried.

 

REPORT OF COUNTY ATTORNEY:  County Attorney gave a report of the Delinquent Tax Payment Program. 

 

REPORT OF COUNTY CLERK:   Nothing to report.

 

REPORT OF SHERIFF:  Nothing to report.

 

REPORT OF JAILER:  Nothing to report.

 

REPORT OF TREASURER:  A) Transfers – Motion to approve Transfers by Magistrate Toney and seconded by Magistrate Beshears.  Motion carried.

 

B) Payment of Claims - General Fund in the amount of $24438.41; Road Fund $30986.49; Jail Fund $45863.18; LGEA $22509.10; Total $123797.18.  Motion to approve Payment of Claims by Magistrate Larry Wilson and seconded by Magistrate Groves.  Motion carried.

NEW BUSINESS:  A) Accept Viewer’s Report of Closing - .15 miles of Smith Todd Road Motion to accept by Magistrate Roberts and seconded by Magistrate Groves.  Motion carried.

 

B) Appointments to Tourism Committee – Table this request til May 1, 2012.

 

C)  Request from YAA – David Lear the Current president and Chris Melton Vice President of the YAA park -$69,000.00 in Electrical and Lighting; $10,000.00 in Parking Lot Expansion – Total $79,000.00 Requests. No motion was made at this time.
