The Hopkins County Fiscal Court Budget, Audits, and Personnel Committee will hold a special called meeting at 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at Hopkins County Government Center, 56 North Main Street, Madisonville KY.

Due to damage sustained in the recent tornado, the West KY ATV Park will be closed until further notice.

On March 5, 2024, the Hopkins County Fiscal Court issued a longevity certificate to Jeremy Kolodey for serving 5 years at Public Works. We thank Jeremy for his service.

On March 5, 2024, the Hopkins County Fiscal Court issued a longevity certificate to David Frisby for serving 15 years at Public Works. We thank David for his service and wish him a great retirement!

1. On March 5, 2024, the Hopkins County Fiscal Court issued longevity certificates to Amber Eagles and Ronald Edwards. Amber has served 10 years, while Ronald has served 5, at the Hopkins County Jail. We appreciate their service.

From left, Judge Executive Jack Whitfield congratulates Public Works Crew Leader Jesse Breedlove June 28 for receiving the title of Kentucky Colonel by Governor Andy Beshear. Breedlove was recognized for his selfless and invaluable work in Barnsley and Dawson Springs after the December 10, 2021 tornado.  The commission of Kentucky Colonel is the highest title of honor bestowed by the Governor of Kentucky.

Judge Executive Jack Whitfield, center left, receives a $25,000 check from Riddle Insurance and Delta Dental of Kentucky to aid in tornado relief through the Hopkins County Government tornado relief fund. The donation will help rebuild Dawson Springs and the Flat Creek area.
