Hopkins County Government Center and Sanitation departments, including most County Convenience Centers, will close at noon on Friday,
March 29 for Good Friday.
The Barnsley Convenience Center will close at 11 a.m. The Hopkins County Road Department will close at noon.
All convenience centers will be open at normal hours on Saturday, March 30.

The West Kentucky ATV Park will reopen Saturday, April 6 at 10:00AM!
The park's hours will be:
Monday-Friday 8:00AM-2:00PM
Saturday 10:00AM-6:00PM

On March 5, 2024, the Hopkins County Fiscal Court issued a longevity certificate to Jeremy Kolodey for serving 5 years at Public Works. We thank Jeremy for his service.

From left, Judge Executive Jack Whitfield congratulates Public Works Crew Leader Jesse Breedlove June 28 for receiving the title of Kentucky Colonel by Governor Andy Beshear. Breedlove was recognized for his selfless and invaluable work in Barnsley and Dawson Springs after the December 10, 2021 tornado. The commission of Kentucky Colonel is the highest title of honor bestowed by the Governor of Kentucky.

Judge Executive Jack Whitfield, center left, receives a $25,000 check from Riddle Insurance and Delta Dental of Kentucky to aid in tornado relief through the Hopkins County Government tornado relief fund. The donation will help rebuild Dawson Springs and the Flat Creek area.
