Donnie was born and educated in Hopkins County, and has continually been a resident except while serving our county in the Air Force.  His education includes degree work in criminal justice, which was utilized during more than 20 years of experience in law enforcement.  Prior to being elected Hopkins County Judge Executive, he was employed in private industry in the area of transportation safety-compliance and risk management.  Donnie and his wife, Judy, have two children, Chad Carroll and Kristy Heltsley, and granddaughters Victoria and Kaitlyn.  Judge Executive is the third elected office Donnie has held in Hopkins County, having previously served as Sheriff and Jailer.  His e-mail address is judgeexecutive@hopkinscounty.net
